Archangel Gabriel is part of our radiantly powerful quartet of Archangels. The Archangels are central to many esoteric traditions, serving as spiritual guardians and harbingers of the four directions. Each of these angels' names and colors has special meaning.
When our British friend, the Pagan artist Billie John, asked for inspiration in the design of the Archangels, she received guidance to depict Uriel and Gabriel as female. Gabriel's name means "Strong One" or "Messenger of God." Her color is blue, her element is water, and her direction is west.
