Their intimate posture seated together is a micro-depiction of domestic cooperation and joy. A larger symbolism suggests universal harmony as Laxshmi's stupendous power of Shakti activates Vishnu by tickling his feet. The magic serpent Ananta, upon whose body the duo recline, is the embodiment of creative fertility.
