This is a statue of
Shiva and Shakti (male and female,
yin and yang, active
and passive).
Love, the act of creation... My loved one's protection
and health.

| "Namaste! I
built this altar on the fly (it's my portable
one, as I live in a small condo that does not
allow for a permanent structure. But we're
moving into a house this year, so I'll soon have
an entire room devoted to my altars and
worship!). It was a demonstration on impromptu
altar building for my
Shakti
Wicca website, which includes a section on
altar construction.
Ganesha is my patron, and while
Durga is my matron I haven't yet had a
chance (or the funds) to obtain a murti yet, so
I placed
Kali here as She is a form of Durga and I
have also successfully worked with Her in the
past for matters of behavioral patterning
obliteration. Blessings!" - Devi |

"Happy New Year & Brightest Blessings! These are
photos of mine and my daughter Kathrin's altars.
Kathrin (Age 3) is very proud of her "Kitty
Alter" complete with a "Tinkerbell," fairy dust,
mini cauldron, wand, the
Spiral Goddess, and some of her own artwork!
We honor The Goddess together every night with
our blessings and ask that in the morning for
The God to bless our open eyes." - Dena |
