Goddess of Love and Beauty.
This Greek goddess (Aphrodite) was able to grant irresistible charm to her worshipers. She ruled birth, life, love, death, time, and fate, as well as sensual and sexual mysticism. The original was found on the small Greek island of Melos in 1820. She is one of the most famous and historical archaeological finds in the world.
Speculations into what her missing arms held include a shield, a mirror, a dove, or a spindle, but most likely it was an apple (Melos means apple). Her award of the golden apple in the Judgment of Paris (beating out Hera and Athena) lead to the Trojan War.
