A cat's purr must be as pure a form of prayer as any human could invent. At once a sigh of joy and a mantra, a sound that can transport even a human listener to transcendent states.

When purring, a cat embodies a kind of absolute dignity, like an open lotus arising directly from the wellspring of the Infinite. (And as any cat knows, catnip can greatly assist the process!)
