Brigid statue 8 1/2 handpainted
Flame. Poetry. Healing. Divination. History.
Celtic Goddess of Fire, Blacksmiths, Wells, Springs and Poets.
The main goddess of Ireland and Wales, Brigid's feast, or Imbolc, is celebrated on the first of February.
Here she is surrounded by the flame of inspiration and wears the green of healing and growth. The Celts held poetry in great reverence as it was the art of divination, the revelation of secrets, and preservation of history.

|I received this statue as a gift for my birthday from my teacher. I am a devotee of Brigid in all her aspects; as a Goddess, Saint, and Ghede. This statue is beautiful, not too large for those in a cramped space, and is vague enough in its symbolism as to be fitting for any variety of worshiper.
The picture does not do this statue justice.
There have been all manner of flames, smoke, and other environmental concerns near it, and the paint has not faded one bit in the past couple of years.|
